Before you leave to go fishing this summer make sure you have set up your hot tub for success. A few things to remember before you go…
- Turn down the heat: at a lower temperature your hot tub will go through less chemical and you will decrease your risk of bacterial and algae growth. A temperature between 86-90 is ideal.
- Ensure all jet ports are open allowing water to move freely through the entire tub.
- Put a floater in the hot tub with either Chlorine or Bromine disks to maintain safe sanitizer levels.
- Shock the tub just before leaving.
If you will be away for more than 2 weeks we highly recommend having someone come by to check on the tub and ensure everything is running and properly balanced.
