We hear this all the time from our customers. I am here to tell you it doesn’t have to be that way! The strong smells that are sometimes emitted from your Hot Tub are usually caused by chloramines (combined chlorine). What does that mean?! It means that the chlorine in your tub is “locked” and when that happens it does not sanitize efficiently. You will need to actually shock the water to break apart the chloramines and purify the water.
